Housing Allowance Cancelled Because of Error May Be Retroactively Reinstated

A question was presented as to whether a station housing allowance authorized for military personnel which was canceled due to misinformation may be retroactively reinstated and payment of the allowance made to a member. Since the regulation issued was based on an obvious administrative error, it may be corrected retroactively to reinstate the allowance and the member may be paid.
