Entitlement to Allowable Real Estate Expenses

A decision was requested on the entitlement of a transferred employee to payment of real estate expenses for a home purchased 15 months after the transfer. An employee is entitled to allowable real estate expenses in the purchase of a new home within 1 year of transfer. Extension of the time limit is a matter for determination by the head of the agency. A loan origination charge is a finance charge and cannot be reimbursed.
