Highlights

A decision was requested as to whether a claim against an employee for overpayment of compensation can be waived. Since the Government-owned corporation was given power to sue and be sued in its own name, it has independent authority to waive claims for overpayments. The Comptroller General's authority in this area does not affect authority under other statutes to litigate or waive claims.
