Request for Upward Modification of Contract Price

A company requested review of the denial of its request for a price adjustment due to a mistake in the bid discovered after award. The company contended that the contracting officer had a duty to see the disparity in bids even though the contracting officer was not on constructive notice of the possibility of error. It was not reasonable to require the contracting officer to know the entire marketplace; the request for a price adjustment was denied.
