Reimbursement for Temporary Storage of Household Goods

An employee claimed reimbursement for temporary storage of his household goods in anticipation of transfer of duty station upon completion of a training course. The employee cannot be reimbursed for storage expenses incurred before the actual notice of transfer unless the agency's intent to transfer the employee was evident at the time the expenses were incurred. Selection for training can be regarded as tantamount to a notice of transfer.
