Highlights

An advance decision was requested concerning an employee's claim for additional per diem allowance because of a delay in his return travel from a temporary duty station. The employee, who elected to stay overnight before continuing travel when he unavoidably missed his scheduled flight, did not act prudently, and since the interruption in travel was considered to be for his convenience, he was not allowed additional per diem.
