Highlights

An Authorized Certifying Officer for the Department of Agriculture, requested a decision with regard to an employee's claim for additional per diem allowance incident to his travel to his new station. The employee's travel was delayed by a breakdown of the rented truck used to haul his household goods. The employee's entitlement was required to be determined on the basis of a minimum driving distance per day; in this case the claimant was entitled to 2.25 days, not the 4.5 days claimed.
