Claim for Death Gratuity by Widow of Deceased Air Force Member

Linwood S. Evans, Jr., on behalf of the widow of Staff Sergeant Jack C. Morgan, appealed the disallowance of the 6 months death gratuity. The appeal was denied because the claimant pleaded guilty to being an accessory before the fact to the voluntary manslaughter of her husband, and payment is prohibited to beneficiaries who acted with feloneous intent to bring about the death of the member.
