Real Estate Excise Sales Tax

A Special Disbursing Agent asked whether an excise tax on real estate is reimbursable to a transferred employee. The excise tax on real estate is reimbursable, since it is, in fact, a tax on the sale of real estate and constitutes a transfer tax under the Federal Travel Regulations.
