Remission and Cancellation of Debts of Enlisted Members

The applicability of debt cancellation and remission authority to members of reserve components when they are performing other than extended active duty was questioned. The remission and cancellation of debts of armed forces members may not be extended to cover the debts of reserve members not on active duty.
