A decision was requested on the propriety of paying additional retired pay to an officer employed by the Air Force as a consultant in order to avoid violation of the Dual Compensation Act. The officer was entitled to a dual compensation exemption for the first 30 days for which he recieved civilian pay. Even though an entire fiscal year intervened since expiration of the original consulting contract, the officer is not entitled to an additional 30-day exemption from dual compensation.
