Highlights

A federal employee requested reconsideration of a settlement which disallowed his claim for travel expenses incurred when he voluntarily returned from a temporary duty station to his official station for weekends or other nonworkdays. Applicable regulations limited reimbursement for the travel expenses incurred by such return to the amount of per diem the employee would have received if he had remained at the temporary duty station for those nonworkdays. Agencies were not required to return employees to their permanent duty stations for nonworkdays.
