Highlights

An employee requested reconsideration of the disallowance of his claim for the cost of collision damage waiver insurance purchased in connection with the rental of an automobile while he was on a temporary duty assignment. The collision damage waiver insurance was optional, and the employee could have chosen to indemnify the agency for damages not to exceed $100. Payment of such claims is precluded by travel regulations.
