Request for Deletion of Item From Contract

The agency requested a decision with regard to the action to be taken concerning an error in bid alleged after award of a sales contract. The bid for the item on which the mistake was alleged was about 3.5 times greater than the current market appraisal and almost eight times greater than the next high bid; there was clear evidence of a mistake in bid, and the contracting officer was on notice of the error. The item in question should be deleted from the contract.
