Disallowance of Travel Allowance Upon Retirement

A retired member appealed the disallowance of his claim for dependent travel from his last duty station to his requested place of retirement. The member spent less than 1 week in his requested place of retirement surveying job possibilities. This did not show intent to establish a retirement home, and the member may not receive travel and transportation allowances to that location.
