Amendment of Joint Travel Regulations to Allow Home Selection for Retirees

The Air force requested GAO's opinion on whether the Joint Travel Regulations, Volume 1, could be amended to delete the requirement that a member complete eight years of continuous active duty immediately preceding retirement for reasons other than physical disability to entitle him to select a home for the purpose of travel and transportation allowances.
