Reimbursement of Meals at a Meeting

An Authorized Certifying Officer of the Soil Conservation Service requested GAO's opinion concerning whether a voucher in the amount of $7.50 may be certified for payment. GAO noted that the official business of the conference attended by the employee did not continue through the meals in question. Accordingly, GAO held that the voucher may not be certified for payment.
