Inclusion of Departmental Overhead Under 31 U.S.C. Sec. 686 (1970)

Administrative overhead applicable to supervision by the Department of Commerce of service provided to another federal agency is required to be included as part of actual cost and must be paid by the agency to which the service is rendered. This is applicable whether the amounts collected for Commerce overhead are deposited to miscellaneous receipts in the General Fund of the Treasury or credited to Commerce General Administration appropriation.
