THAT IF A CHECK HAS BEEN ISSUED IT WAS NOT YOU WHO APPLIED FOR IT. WE ALREADY HAVE INDICATED THAT THE RECORDS OF THE RETIREMENT DIVISION OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION ARE IN CONFLICT WITH YOUR STATEMENT. ONLY IN THE EVENT THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO FURNISH OUR OFFICE CONCLUSIVE PROOF THAT NO CLAIM WAS EVER FILED BY YOU UNTIL THE YEAR 1956 WOULD WE BE ABLE TO CONSIDER THIS MATTER FURTHER.

TO MR. ANDRES BARCILONA:

YOUR LETTER OF JUNE 3, 1957, REQUESTS RECONSIDERATION OF OUR DECISION DATED MARCH 29, 1957 (B-131138), IN WHICH WE DENIED YOUR CLAIM FOR THE PROCEEDS OF TREASURY (CIVIL SERVICE RETIREMENT) CHECK NO. 43,559,150, FOR $236.43, DRAWN APRIL 7, 1947, TO YOUR ORDER BY PAUL D. BANNING, SYMBOL 300.

YOU SAY THAT YOU DID NOT FILE ANY CLAIM FOR THE RETURN OF YOUR RETIREMENT DEPOSIT FROM 1945 TO 1955, AND THAT IF A CHECK HAS BEEN ISSUED IT WAS NOT YOU WHO APPLIED FOR IT.

ON THE PRESENT RECORD OUR FORMER ACTION MUST BE SUSTAINED.
