REFERENCE IS MADE TO YOUR LETTER OF JUNE 11, 1956, URGING IMMEDIATE ACTION ON A CLAIM SUBMITTED TO OUR OFFICE ON BEHALF OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF GREENVILLE COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA, ALLEGED TO BE DUE IN THE AMOUNT OF $126,946.42 ON ACCOUNT OF TRAINING FURNISHED TO VETERANS UNDER THE PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION.

YOU ENCLOSED A COPY OF YOUR LETTER DATED MAY 11, 1956, TO THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, WHICH MAKES REFERENCE TO CERTAIN CLAIMS OF THE GOVERNMENT AGAINST THE CLAIMANT INVOLVING ALLEGED FRAUD PRESENTLY UNDER CONSIDERATION IN THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE. IT IS ALSO UNDERSTOOD THAT A FURTHER APPEAL HAS BEEN INITIATED BY YOU BEFORE THE VETERANS' EDUCATION APPEALS BOARD AND THAT YOUR APPEAL IS STILL UNDER CONSIDERATION BY THE BOARD.
