Highlights

A travel agent, requested comment on Government's nonuse of travel agencies for procuring official travel. Official travel is procured directly from carriers because (1) it is more efficient and economical; (2) reservations, cancellations or changes in travel schedules are more readily effected with less errors; (3) auditing and paying accounts are facilitated and overcharges are more quickly recovered.
