Saving Our Future requires Tough Choices Today

This is a Comptroller General Presentation given to the Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs Town Hall Forum at the University of Minnesota on October 17, 2005. Major topics of this presentation include: federal spending for mandatory and discretionary programs, estimated fiscal exposures, fiscal year 2004 deficit numbers, our growing fiscal burden, and a three-pronged approach for the way forward.
