[Request for Reconsideration of Protest of DOD Rejection of Bid for Roof Replacement]

A firm requested reconsideration of its denied protest of the Department of Defense's (DOD) rejection of its bid for roof replacement. GAO had held that the protester's bid was nonresponsive, since the protester failed to acknowledge a solicitation amendment. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that the amendment had a negligible effect on its bid price. GAO held that the: (1) solicitation amendment was material; and (2) protester failed to show any legal or factual errors that would warrant reversal or modification of the original decision. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
