[Request for Reconsideration of Protest of Marine Corps Solicitation]

A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of a Marine Corps solicitation. GAO had held that the protester untimely filed its protest. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that it should have been permitted to protest the restrictive specifications after bid opening, since the solicitation did not advise bidders of the protest timeliness requirements. GAO held that the protester's lack of knowledge of the timeliness requirements did not cure its untimely protest. Accordingly, the original decision was affirmed.
