Air Force Reserve Officer's Claim for Temporary Duty Expenses

An Air Force officer appealed the settlement denying his claim for reimbursement of transportation expenses incident to his temporary duty assignment. GAO held that: (1) the officer was not entitled to reimbursement, since his original claim was based on false information which tainted his entire transportation claim; and (2) it did not the jurisdictional authority to waive his indebtedness. Accordingly, the settlement was affirmed.
