A firm requested reconsideration of its dismissed protest of the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service's termination of its contract and subsequent solicitations for scrap aircraft sales. GAO had held that the protest concerned a matter of contract administration, which it would not consider. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that its protest merited consideration under the significant-issue exception. GAO held that the protest did not warrant consideration under the significant-issue exception, since it was not of widespread interest to the procurement community. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
