Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of its denied protest against a Defense Personnel Support Center (DPSC) contract award for extreme cold weather sleeping systems. GAO had held that: (1) the protester untimely filed its protest against the acceptability of the awardee's proposed material; (2) the awardee's listing of an incorrect supply source did not constitute an exception to the solicitation specifications; (3) DPSC reasonably determined that the awardee's bid was acceptable; and (4) DPSC properly accepted a letter of commitment from the awardee's subsidiary. In its request for reconsideration, the protester repeated its original contentions that the awardee's proposed material was unacceptable. GAO held that the protester did not present any evidence that warranted reversal or modification of the original decision. Accordingly, the request for reconsideration was denied.
