Highlights
A Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employee claimed reimbursement for child care expenses incured while on temporary duty away from her permanent duty station. GAO held that fees for child care are not reimburseable expenses in connection with official travel or relocation, since neither the governing statutes or the Federal Travel Regulation authorize such an entitlement. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
