This correspondence to John Lee, Executive Vice President, New York Clearing House, concerns security measures GAO will implement in its review by the Office of Clearing House Interbank Payments System (CHIPS). CHIPS information that is sensitive or confidential in nature will be safeguarded through strict adherence to the following procedures. Access to the protected information will be limited to authorized GAO personnel only, and the information will be appropriately marked, handled and stored. The protected information will not be made available outside of GAO.
