A former National Guard member appealed her separation pay settlement, contending that she was entitled to readjustment pay. GAO held that the claimant was entitled to either separation or readjustment pay, whichever was more favorable, since she served for a continuous period of more than 5 years before being involuntarily separated. Accordingly, the claim was allowed.
