Highlights

The Mine Safety and Health Administration requested a decision regarding a transferred employee's entitlement to reimbursement for real estate expenses he incurred more than 3 years after his transfer. GAO held that, since settlement on the claimant's new residence occurred after the 3-year period that the Federal Travel Regulations permitted, the claimant was not entitled to reimbursement. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
