[Decision Concerning Treasury Employees' Claims for Reimbursement for Mortgage Insurance]

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requested a decision on whether it should reimburse two transferred employees for their mortgage insurance expenses. GAO held that the Federal Travel Regulations specifically precluded this type of charge as nonreimbursable. Accordingly, the claims were denied.
