Highlights

The Military Sealift Command (MSC) requested a decision concerning a civilian employee's claim for expenses incident to his transfer. GAO found that under existing regulations, the employee was entitled to relocation expenses, since he: (1) incurred the expenses incident to his transfer, which was in the government's interest; and (2) relocated to a residence more than 10 miles from his old duty station. Accordingly, the claim was allowed.
