[Comments on H.R. 4675]

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO commented on H.R. 4675, which would amend the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985 to ensure that congressional salaries are subject to reduction under the act. GAO determined that decisions on whether to change the applicability of the act regarding specific accounts or funding sources are matters best left to Congress.
