Highlights

The Internal Revenue Service requested a decision as to whether a transferred employee may be reimbursed for the costs of a second househunting trip. Regulations provide that the expenses incurred in seeking a permanent residence at a new official duty station may be allowed for only one round trip. Accordingly, the claim may not be certified for payment.
