Request for Reconsideration

A firm requested reconsideration of a decision which GAO dismissed as untimely. The firm's request for reconsideration was filed 18 working days after issuance of the decision. The record did not indicate when the firm received the decision. However, GAO believed it was reasonable to assume that the decision was received, at the latest, 1 calendar week after its issuance. Bid protest procedures require that requests for reconsideration be filed within 10 working days after the basis for the reconsideration is known or should have been known. Therefore, the request for reconsideration was untimely and dismissed.
