Request for Reconsideration

A firm requested reconsideration of a previous decision which held that the Government could accept an equal product which, as a result of prior testing, met the essential material requirements of the Government. As its basis for reconsideration, the firm asserted that GAO did not understand the technical nature of what was involved. In response, GAO held that the firm's request was untimely filed more than 10 working days after receipt of the GAO decision. Accordingly, the request was dismissed.
