Claim for Reimbursement of Cost of Shipping Household Goods

A former Navy member claimed reimbursement for shipping his household effects and supported his claim with receipts. The receipts indicated that the shipment was made 11 months prior to the issuance of permanent change-of-station orders. The claimant was not reimbursed since generally shipment of household effects prior to orders is not authorized.
