Highlights

A Federal employee was denied a retroactive temporary promotion because records failed to indicate detail to a higher graded position as the claimant alleged. The claimant's dissatisfaction with the pay he received was based in substance on the claim that his position was misclassified. However, the Supreme Court has held that classification actions provide only prospective relief and no backpay award. The disallowance of the claim was sustained.
