Indebtedness Due to Erroneous Payments of Basic Allowance for Quarters

A member appealed the denial of a waiver of his indebtedness arising from erroneous payments of basic allowance for quarters (BAQ) which should have terminated when be began occupying government quarters. Although the member had completed the proper documents to terminate BAQ, he was not without fault since he failed to inquire about correctness of pay. Therefore, the waiver may not be granted.
