Denial of Waiver of Erroneous Payments for Basic Allowance for Quarters

A naval member appealed the denial of a waiver of his indebtedness arising from erroneous payments of basic allowance for quarters. The member failed to disclose that he occupied Government quarters and did not question the erroneous payments until 5 months after they began. The member must repay the erroneous payments even though financial hardship may result.
