Claim for Disability Retired Pay

A retired Army member claimed all retirement pay entitlements from February 29, 1944, the date of his disability retirement, to September 13, 1970, the date prior to which his claim was previously barred. Payment of the claim for the period prior to September 1970 was barred by the Act of October 9, 1940, because that portion of the claim accrued more than 6 years before the claim was received by GAO.
