Highlights

An employee who returned home from an overseas assignment before completion of an agreed period of service claimed reimbursement for transportation expenses and backpay for lost wages. The acceptability of the employee's reasons for resignation before completion of service is for determination by the agency involved; such a determination will affect the reimbursement claim. Backpay was not authorized since the employee's separation was voluntary and not beyond his control.
