Claim for Reimbursement for Lost Cash

The accounting and finance officer of the Keesler Air Force Base Technical Training Center requested an advance decision concerning a member's claim for lost cash advance payments incurred in the withdrawal of U.S. personnel from Ethiopia. The government was not liable for travel or transportation expenses since the member had already received travel advances. The money representing advance per diem payments which was lost or stolen was not reimbursable.
