Request for Travel Expenses in Connection with a Funeral

Dolores T. Hodges, Authorized Certifying Officer of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, questioned the propriety of paying cost of air travel for a funeral while employee was on a business trip. If the employee's mission was substantially complete or his second trip was for another matter, he may be reimbursed. (SS)
