Specifications for Automated Data Processing Equipment Are Unduly Restrictive

A request for proposals for lease of data processing equipment was alleged to unduly restrict competition. GAO determined that present specifications unduly restrict competition. The General Services Administration should resubmit its solicitation for approval before proceeding with the procurement.
