Highlights

An employee scheduled to report to a new duty station on a Monday traveled from the old to the new station on the preceding Friday, because of the weekend closing of gas stations. Subsistence expenses incurred at the new duty station location prior to reporting for duty are generally reimbursable only as temporary quarters subsistence expenses. The employee may be paid a per diem allowance only for the actual time spent in en route travel. He may not be paid per diem for the two days between the time of his arrival and the time he reported for duty.
