Please note that a lapse in appropriations has caused GAO to shut down its operations. Highlights

A contract awardee alleged a mistake in its bid and requested rescission of the contract. The contracting officer failed to verify the low bid, which was 50 percent less than the next low bid, and should have been on constructive notice of a possible mistake in the bid. The contract may be rescinded.
