Entitlement of National Guard Member to Pay and Allowances Incident to Injury Incurred in the Line of Duty

An advance decision was requested concerning payment of active duty pay and allowances to a National Guard member injured in the line of duty. The member's right to pay and allowances applied not only to the period of initial hospitalization and incapacitation resulting from the line of duty injury, but extended through any period of rehospitalization and incapacitation resulting from a recurrence of the original disability.
