Reconsideration of Claim for Temporary Lodging Allowance [Best Available Copy]

A military member requested reconsideration of a settlement which disallowed his claim for temporary lodging allowance incident to a permanent change of station. The settlement was adjusted to allow the member's claim for temporary lodging allowance for the first 10-day period since he did register with the housing officer upon arrival as required in applicable regulations. However, the member's claim for additional temporary lodging allowance beyond that period was properly denied since the member failed to keep the housing officer periodically informed of his progress in obtaining adequate housing.
